Yes/No Chairmen: FG Reviewing Court Verdicts On Osun LG Crisis – PDP Faults APC
The Federal Government has commenced a review of the lingering local government crisis in Osun State, following the submission of court rulings and legal documents by the state government and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a statement on Wednesday, Osun PDP berated the All Progressives Congress (APC) for allegedly misleading the public with false claims regarding the controversial reinstatement of its sacked local government chairmen, widely referred to as the “Yes/No” chairmen.
The statement, signed by the PDP State Chairman, Sunday Bisi, accused the opposition party of spreading misinformation in Abuja, adding that federal officials now have access to certified copies of the relevant judgements, including the Court of Appeal ruling that struck out APC’s appeal against the earlier Federal High Court verdict.

“The Federal Government is now in possession of all the court judgements, including the Appeal Court ruling from Akure, which contains no consequential orders reinstating the sacked council chairmen,” the statement read.
“Osun APC is in severe pain because certified true copies of the judgements are now with the Federal Ministry of Justice, which is currently reviewing them in comparison to its earlier stance. We have escalated the facts to key offices in Abuja. The lies of Osun APC have been exposed.”
The PDP emphasised that Governor Ademola Adeleke had adopted a responsible, rule-based approach to resolving the crisis, choosing legal engagement over confrontation, even after six PDP members lost their lives in the dispute.
The party also commended the state government for reaching out to federal authorities, insisting that the only validly recognised local government chairmen in Osun remain those elected under the PDP.
